I am a Postdoctoral Associate in James Forester's Quantitative Landscape Ecology Lab at the University of Minnesota. I recently collaborated with James, David Fulton (UMN & USGS), Eric Walberg (Illinois Natural History Survey), Mike Schrage (Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa), & Mark Ditmer (USDA FS) to model forage, social acceptance, & conflict risk for elk reintroduction to northeastern Minnesota. As lead Principal Investigator, I currently lead coyote & fox research in the Twin Cities area.

Prior to my current position, I worked as a Wildlife Biologist for the Great Lakes Indian Fish & Wildlife Commission, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Minnesota Zoo (moose research), & completed graduate research with Pat Zollner at Purdue University (American marten & fisher research for my PhD), & with Ron Moen & Jerry Niemi at the University of Minnesota-Duluth (snowshoe hare & Canada lynx research for my MS). I started my career by working as an intern & technician on a wide range of taxa in a diversity of locations; including sea turtles in Costa Rica, tundra swans in North Carolina, bobcats in Iowa, Canada lynx in Montana, & Common Loons in Wisconsin. I have been really fortunate to work on great projects with wonderful people!
