I am a Wildlife Ecologist who contributes to wildlife conservation & management by conducting applied research. By cooperating with federal, tribal, state, & local agencies, I try to answer these seemingly simple questions: where do animals go, when do they go there, & for what purpose? My research experience is broad, including investigations of habitat selection, movement ecology, survival, physiology, & activity patterns for American marten, fisher, Canada lynx, snowshoe hare, moose, elk, coyote, & fox. Themes from my research include robust study designs, traditional field data collection techniques, & advanced GIS & quantitative methods that examine ecological interactions across an array of spatial & temporal scales.
